Dear Self

Dear Self,

You are exactly where you are supposed to be. Our lives consist of the decisions that we make based upon the choices at hand. Sometimes the best decision is to let go of trying to be so controlling and let your path take the course that it will. Plan, and know that your plan will change. Adapt with it and watch as just what you thought you MIGHT be able to do becomes what is happening in your life. Even if you feel like you’re not where you’re supposed to be or that you’re faced with setbacks, embrace these feelings by finding the lessons in everything. Use your failures as the keys to finding your successes because truth be told, all you need is the will to win. Stay hungry out here and you will EAT. Never let yourself hit a plateau because the grind never stops. Continue to push forward by fighting through your woes and whatever you do, don’t stop learning. There’s no clean-cut recipe for doing well and that’s why sometimes you have to make your own way. Get yourself a few ingredients and make something out of nothing. If you mix a lot of work ethic, add some will power, and a pinch or two of passion that’s all the recipe that you need, improvise with the rest. Don’t let anything stop you from your dreams. Yeah, that wildest dream that you see for yourself is possible if you focus. Once you understand your vision, don’t let anything get in your way. If nobody understands your vision, that’s fine, that’s why it’s YOUR dream. Don’t let it sit in the back of your head, GO FOR IT. Ask questions and actively research, speak your goals into existence because you never know who might have some insight in what you’re trying to accomplish. Stay humble as you grow and when you find your success, share the ingredients to your recipe with the next starving person. Spreading the love won’t hurt anybody, there’s enough competition in life. Why compete when you can uplift? Put yourself on and somebody else if you can. When you AND the people around you are taking care of business and on major moves you will motivate one another and yet you will win again. So as you tackle life, responsibilities and finding your calling remember to take the leap of faith that you were afraid of. Be proud of yourself for how far you’ve come, be your biggest cheerleader. At the end of this tunnel, there’s a fat piece of cake with your name on it, so take this recipe and put the sucker in the oven so you can live your life to the fullest. YOU CAN DO IT! Live with no regrets, wouldn’t you rather say “I went through it at first, but I wouldn’t trade the path I took for the world,” than “What if…”

Sincerely,

Successful Self
