Drake & Future’s mixtape ‘What a Time To Be Alive’ had a crazy buzz on social media before we even knew if it was really a project. Now the two rappers could sell as much as 500K in the first week according to HITS Daily Double.
Drake premiered WATTBA on his OVO Sound Radio show Sunday, right before it was available on Apple Music. It shot to No.1 in no time & will remain exclusively on Apple Music for a week before being available on Spotify & other retailers.
This is Drake’s second “mixtape” this year, ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’ open with 535K in the first week back in February and a third mixtape may be on the way. There are rumors that say Views From The 6 could be dropping by the end of the year.
As far Future, his DS2 wave is still going strong. Let’s see if WATTBA tops Kanye & Jay Z’s ‘Watch The Throne’, which sold 436K out the gate!
Either way 2015 has been a very exciting year for music. Drake & Future are right about that: What A Time To Be Alive !
