Early Saturday morning in Tennessee, a State Trooper pulled over Nelly’s tour bus for failure to display the correct Department of Transportation sticker. The trooper then decided to conduct a search after he “noticed an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.”
Officers discovered a baggie with “five colored crystal-type rocks that tested positive for methamphetamine, as well as a small amount of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.” Cops also found several handguns including a .50-caliber Desert Eagle pistol, a .45-caliber Taurus pistol, and a .500 Smith & Wesson magnum.
Nelly was arrested & booked on misdemeanor drug charges for the marijuana & meth, as well as for the drug paraphernalia.
Nelly’s lawyer is already doing damage control, telling CNN that the drugs found did not belong to Nelly- but in fact 15-20 different people had access to the bus. Nelly’s lawyer also promises that once the facts come out, Nelly’s name will be cleared.
Meth though Nelly? That’s pretty hardcore boy, you’ve got some ‘splainin’ to do!
