The entire world is mourning over the tragic death of retired NBA star Kobe Bryant, who passed away, along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant and others in a terrible helicopter crash Sunday.
As family, friends and fans share their condolences to Kobe Bryant and Giovanni Bryant’s family, footage of the All-Star explaining why he chose to ride in helicopters has resurfaced.
“…After-school activities and all that fun stuff, even on weekends. But then traffic started getting really, really bad, right? I was sitting in traffic and I wind up missing a school play because I was sitting in traffic. I had to figure out a way where I could still train and focus on the craft, but still not compromise family time. And so that’s when I looked into helicopters… And to be able to get down and back in 15 minutes, and that’s when it started.”
Along with Gianni Bryant, Kobe Bryant and his wife of more than 18 years Vanessa Bryant, have four daughters together: Natalia Bryant, 17, Bianka Bryant 3, and Capri Kobe Bryant, who the family welcomed in June 2019.
