Roc-A-Fella co-founder Damon Dash recently opened up about Aaliyah during his television appearance with the ladies of The Real. When it came to the topic of Aaliyah’s tragic death at the young age of twenty-two, Dame claims he could’ve saved the singers life.
“There is no chance that if I was there, we would have been on that plane. It would’ve never happened that way.”
Aaliyah and eight others of her video shoot crew died after their small airplane crashed during takeoff while returning from Abaco Island in the Bahamas.
“If I was there, I would have made sure that that jet that was supposed to be for her, the G4, she would have been on that. I wouldn’t have gotten on that plane. It probably would have been different.”
