In the midst of all of Lil Wayne’s/ Cash Money legal drama, Young Thug announced his next project will be called the Carter 6.
So what if his album gets released before the Carter 5? (Which is totally possible at this point) And why would you title it the Carter 6 anyway? Is this just paying homage? Or is he throwing shade?
Last year Thugger sat down with MTV & hinted at the album title, however the other night he posted a sneak peek of what sounded like a remix to Wayne’s “Grindin'” with the caption ‘#Carter6 OTW.”
No matter his reasoning for the album title, Lil Wayne’s daughter , Reginae Carter is not feeling it.
She tweeted, “Try again if you’re even trying to get on my fathers level,” she wrote, adding later, “I usually stay in a child’s place but that’s my father and I’ll stick up for him no matter what ! It was not to be disrespectful.”
I have to say, I’m a huge Lil Wayne fan & the album title kind of rubbed me the wrong way too. What do you think?
