Traveling to L.A anytime soon?

If you live in L.A you can totally relate to the “I’m in yo’ city” text messages and DM’s. Sometimes there are a few events you can share off the top of your head but then there’s those instances where all you’d planned on doing that weekend was running errands and folding laundry.

Whether you have time to play tour guide or not, there’s always something fun to get into in the City of Angels. And since there’s no way to ever know exactly everything that’s poppin’- we’ve started to use TimeOutLA.com as a cheat sheet! Whether you’re a culture vulture, outdoorsy type, or a foodie there’s more than enough to keep your visit packed with Snapchat worthy moments.

Here’s a couple of the fun & free things we’ve experienced first hand so far:

  1. Grand Central Market

Smack in the heart of downtown LA the Grand Central Market is the perfect place to people watch and eat some good food. Don’t be fooled by the super chill and gritty atmosphere, the culinary skill here are insane. You may find long lines in front of Eggslut, Valerie’s and Jose Chiquito if you come for breakfast. Sticky Rice and Tacos Tumbras a Tomas flourish during lunch hours and on hot Summer nights you’ll love the BBQ at Horse Thief BBQ with a nice cold beer from Golden Road Brewery. There’s also regularly scheduled programming throughout the week, like Drag Queen Bingo and live music.

I’d say stop by on a nice early morning! You only need a few bucks in your pocket to enjoy the experience.

2. OUE Skyspace Los Angeles

OUE Skyspace LA is California’s tallest open-air observation deck and the premiere destination for panoramic, 360-degree views of Los Angeles. OUE Skyspace LA is located on floors 69 and 70 of the iconic U.S. Bank Tower, nearly 1,000 feet above downtown Los Angeles. If you just want to ride the Skyslide you’ll have to first purchase a ticket for the observation deck. Once inside the attraction you will be able to buy an $8 ticket for the Skyslide. The views are breathtaking. Totally worth it.
