Houston native Ingrid Burley, one of the latest songwriters to be officially signed to Beyonce’s Parkwood Entertainment, explains to Genius that the song Love Drought isn’t about Jay Z at all.
One of my personal favorites on the LEMONADE album, Love Drought written by Ingrid with the help of Mike Dean, was actually inspired by Ingrid’s frustrating issues with the record label.
As we learn more about the songwriting process on each record from LEMONADE, are we convinced any of the album is personal to The Carters at all? Or is it just believable & marketable.
Either way, they looked pretty unbothered at last nights NBA Finals.
