Now, what does that mean for your body goals?
Y’all know the routine, after summer, we all go into hibernation, eat whatever the hell we want, then the New Year rolls around and all of a sudden we’re ready to take our body a little more seriously again.
But why… Let’s make 2016 different and continue working towards our body goals throughout the fall and winter!
Who’s with me?
So you may be asking yourself, what can I do to work towards my body goals this fall? Here are four steps to staying slim and trim all year round!
1. Eat clean
For those that don’t know what clean eating means, it’s simple. You want to make sure you’re choosing grilled or baked protein along with vegetables, whole grain, and healthy carbs.
2. Drink Water
Drinking lots and lots of water is so necessary! You have to hydrate your body with at least 64oz of water a day.
It doesn’t take a two-hour long gym trip each day to reach body goals, but you do have to incorporate some type of exercise to your daily routine. Get in 30 minutes of cardio, weight lifting, or strength training, for at least 5 days out of the week.
4. Allow yourself to have a cheat day!
Ahh, pleasure!! I know you’re surprised that this is a step to staying slim, but it’s very important. If you’re being too hard on yourself and making your diet nothing but misery, then you’ll be tempted to quit. What helps me throughout the week is knowing that on Sunday I can have that slice of cake that I’ve had my eye on, you know? So when you’re enjoying your cheat day, you’ll be eating guilt free because you know you worked hard for it! 🙂
Don’t let all of your hard work just go down the drain because summer is over. Keep pushing and keep working. Continue to aim to be your best self!
