There have been 5 arrest made in connection to the case of late Brooklyn rapper Popsmoke.
The LAPD served multiple warrants resulting in three adults and two juveniles being arrested. Although the exact charges aren’t yet clear, the five suspects are currently being interviewed by police before being booked.
The LA Times report those allegedly responsible for his death targeted him after he inadvertently posted his address online. According to authorities, the assailants did not know know the rapper personally, “we believe that Pop Smoke posted his location on social media and that is how they found him.”
It is also being reported that the crime started out as a home invasion robbery but turned deadly once inside.
These arrest come five months after the four masked men were seen on surveillance video entering Popsmoke’s rented Hollywood Hills home, firing multiple shots including the fatal shoot, killing the 20-year-old rapper.
Meanwhile, Popsmoke’s debut album, Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon, is expected to land at the No.1 spot on Billboard 200 with 210-230 album units. May his family, friends and fans get the justice they deserve and may this talented young man continue to rest in peace.
