How 3 Event Planners Turned Their Product Into Retail Merchandise!

Lakesha Brown-Renfro and her two business partners stared off as party planners. Their company was called Simply Panache. Their signature mango preserves was always a favorite at all events so they decided to franchise it. Eventually the ladies applied for ABC’s “Shark Tank,” which led them to selling over 15,000 jars! Soon after the ladies appeared on QVC twice and sold out both times. There were s many orders that they needed over 20,000 mangoes.

They have now opened a chic boutique restaurant in the Phoebus area of downtown Hampton, VA, where they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food has a creole/soul food taste, staying true to the owners Louisiana and Texas roots. You can now find the preserves in all Whole Foods in the Mid-Atlantic Region and other specialty in the U.S. and Canada.
