‘Straight Outta Compton’ star Jason Mitchell arrested for gun and drug possession last night.
Sources confirm Mitchell was booked on Wednesday on four different felony charges: possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (marijuana), two counts of possession of a weapon by a felon (Glock19 and a Mini Draco) and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute (ecstasy).
The 33-year-old former “The Chi” star was booked in Harrison County Jail at 2:27p and released that evening around 8pm on a $150,000 bond,.

Mitchell’s camp released this statement:
“Jason is at home with his family right now, working on an amazing new project. News stories move fast and oftentimes without all of the facts. This misunderstanding will be resolved shortly. We trust that the court systems blind justice will protect Jason’s rights and allow him to tell his story.”
Mitchell has been in and out of trouble over the past couple of years most recently being the 2019 claims of sexual misconduct on the set of SHOWTIME’s “The Chi.”
