Songwriters are only eligible for induction after writing hit songs for at least 20 years. The pop diva, who has co-written 18 of her 19 No. 1 hit songs took to Twitter to express her excitement!
I can’t believe it… The SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME!!!! 😱🤯 This is truly one of the greatest honors of my career. I’m so proud and humbled to be in the company of such legendary songwriters – both previously inducted as well as the incredible class of 2020! 🙏🦋 @SongwritersHOF pic.twitter.com/Pi4R7yrRYD

The Isley Brothers gave us and the wedding industry “Shout,” “Who’s That Lady”” “Between The Sheets” which probably had something to do with your parents getting you here in the first place.
And how could we forget The Neptunes , straight out of Virginia, the duo pretty much ran urban radio and shaped pop culture from the ’90s through the 2000s. They curated hits for Jay Z, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Usher, Snoop Dogg and Gwen Stafani.
All inductees are expected to be in attendance in NYC June 11, 2020.
