Missy Elliott To Be Honored At VH1’s ‘Hip Hop Honors’

Virginia native, Grammy winner and Hip Hop icon Missy Elliott will join Queen Latifah as the second confirmed honoree at this year’s “Hip Hop Honors: All Hail the Queens” event slated to air live from New York July 11 at 9pm.

After a six year hiatus, “Hip Hop Honors” is back to celebrate “female pioneers, trailblazers, and trend-setters.” Missy Elliott without a doubt deserves the praise. She is the only female rapper who’s catalog includes six platinum studio albums and more than 30 million albums sold worldwide.
