“Not to be sexist, but I can’t vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman,” he said. “Just because, every other position that exists, I think a woman could do well. But the president? It’s kinda like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally—they make very permanent, cemented decisions—and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen, or they didn’t mean for it to happen. And I sure would hate to just set off a nuke. I think you might be able to the Loch Ness Monster elected before you could [get a woman].”
Asked if he would support Kanye’s 2020 presidential campaign, T.I. was clear—”Nahh, I’m a businessman.”
He also went on to speak on Donald Trump, saying he believes Trump could be potentially “beneficial,” he won’t vote for him because “his racist remarks and all of his off-color statements and all that s**t it makes it impossible to be completely supportive of him. But just knowing what he’s done for business for himself, if he intends to do that for America, it would be beneficial. But I can’t cast no vote for him.”
T.I quickly issued an apology after the backlash he received on social media. He tweeted,
. “My comments about women running for president were unequivocally insensitive and wrong. I sincerely apologize to everyone I offended.”
Well, I’m sorry Mr. TIP but you definitely offended me. I’m all for exercising your first amendment but I will never understand a mans logic as to why a woman couldn’t do the same job they could do. Furthermore, having such a huge platform-I don’t think it was smart for T.I to voice his opinion on politics there. Let’s just be happy Tiny isn’t on the ballot. Bloop.
