So CHEERS to a full circle moment for the controversial creative genius as actually worked at the Gap as a teen in hometown of Chicago!
“We are excited to welcome Kanye back to the Gap family as a creative visionary, building on the aesthetic and success of his YEEZY brand and together defining a next-level retail partnership,” Mark Breitbard, Global Head of Gap Brand, said in the press release.
Back in 2015, you may recall Kanye telling Style.com that he wanted to be a creative director for Gap. “One of my dreams was to be the head creative director of the Gap,” he said. “I’d like to be the Steve Jobs of the Gap … [I want] full Hedi Slimane creative control of the Gap.”
