Viola Davis is sprinkling this black girl magic all around Hollywood hunnie!

The 51-year old actress received her much deserved star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame this month and has just made history as the first black woman to be nominated three times for an Oscar.

Davis was first recognized in 2009 for her supporting work in Doubt, and again in 2012 for her leading role in The Help.

Denzel Washington was also nominated for his seventh Oscar nod for his leading role in Fences. Who took home the Oscar for Best Actor for his performance in Training Day.

It also looks like last years lack of color & somewhat boycott had an influence on the Academy but for the first time in the show’s history, a black actor is nominated in every acting category.

This is after the Academy Awards failed to nominate a single black actor in any of the four acting categories for the past two years.

2017 is shaping up to be a huge win for Davis, as she’s already won a Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice award for her Fences role.
